The company’s history goes back to the late 1970s when we started out writing Assembler code for Intel 8080’s. We know our stuff when it comes to Load, Store, And and Or.
In the 1980s Applied Micro Science was created as a microelectronics design consultancy. We started writing code in ‘C’ during this time.
Towards the end of the 80s the business became incorporated into AMS Technology Ltd trading as Applied Micro Science and we started small–scale manufacturing. During the 90s we developed several products for customers.
About this time the new CE marking and EMC compliance regulations came into force. Towards the end of the 90s we put a telecom product through the full EMC testing program. The huge cost associated with this made it obvious that small-scale electronic production was no longer economically viable. Like many other business we changed from micros to PCs, (which came already CE approved). We adopted VB6 and from then on we have concentrated on software development.
We have extensive experience with programming and networking scientific instrumentation. This includes automatic installations that operate un-attended.
